The Shift Marketplace

The shift marketplace can be used to allow employees to swap shifts. Supervisors can also post shifts to the shift marketplace for employees to claim.

Turn on the Shift Marketplace

Shift Marketplace can be enabled through Schedule Settings:

Choose whether you would like to allow your whole team to use these settings or only specific positions or people

Shift Market Place Company Wide: In order to see a shift on the Market Place, do you need to be a member of that schedule?

Shift Marketplace Access: Is access granted to use the Shift Marketplace? (The Shift Marketplace is where the user can post shifts they can not fulfill to a marketplace that someone else can then pick up)

Shift Marketplace Approval: When a shift is claimed from the Shift Marketplace, does it need approved by one of the Shift Editors?

Sending a shift to the marketplace

When Creating or Editing a Schedule, click on the edit pencil for the shift you want to send to the marketplace

Then click more detail

Click Market

Moving the slider to the right will immediately post the shift to the marketplace then notify anyone that has shift marketplace notifications turned on and are eligible for this shift.

Approving a Claimed Shift

If you have required Shift Marketplace Approval for any of your staff in schedule settings, you will receive a notification that a claimed shift needs your approval:

You can approve this shift claim from the shift marketplace

Once approved, the shift will automatically show up on the schedule assigned to the employee that claimed it.
